Editing is a series of choices
What should the viewer see first? How long should a moment last? What can the next shot add? Our materials approach editing through these concrete questions, connecting technique with the meaning of a sequence.
ABOUT ARODEMYX
Arodemyx is a collection of self-guided written courses about video editing and montage.
What should the viewer see first? How long should a moment last? What can the next shot add? Our materials approach editing through these concrete questions, connecting technique with the meaning of a sequence.
Our courses are digital written guides with topic-based modules, annotated examples, exercises and reference checklists. Subjects range from basic shot order to dialogue, sound, colour, titles and delivery review. Course pages describe each guide separately; purchasing one course does not include the entire collection.
Read a section, apply a prompt to footage you have permission to use, and review your choices. You can use an editing application of your choice. The guides teach general concepts; application-specific controls and results may differ.
These are independent study materials. Live tuition, software licences, assessment, accreditation and job placement are not included. We do not promise a particular learning or commercial result.
